Breaking News: The Himalayan Wolf is IUCN Red List assessed as Vulnerable
Delighted to share with you the IUCN Red List assessment for the Himalayan wolf (Canis lupus chanco). Together with a group of researchers we compiled all the latest data around these wolves to assess them for the global IUCN Red List. They are Vulnerable under the criteria C2a(ii) with a decreasing population trend! This means they are threatened and much more research and conservation activities are necessary to ensure the persistence of the Himalayan wolf. We hope this assessment can facilitate more attention for this amazing high altitude wolf.
